I’ve had a couple people ask me what tub am I using when I share photos of my boys. We renovated every room in our house when we were childless, so the bath tub was removed because it “looked” better without it and then we had kids. We figured out what worked for 1 kids and whats worked for 2 and it’s still evolving as they grow. Here is my experience. I do not get paid for these links, just sharing my bath tub trial and error experiments.

This tub we used for my first child and we never stopped using it. You can purchase a little seat that clips onto the side for when they are really little and can’t sit up yet. My son is 2.5 now and wears a size 4T, so he’s rather long and still loves it. As you can see in the photo, they both now can sit in it. It’s tight but they don’t seem to mind one bit.

I’ve purchased the tubs that inflate, they always leaked air and too soon for it to be worth it. I purchased this one a couple times and they would pop, we even tried to repair it numerous times but it just wasn’t worth it in the end.

I also used the blooming flower pillow for the first couple baths at home. It is incredibly cute and photographs beautifully, but it’s now a wet pillow that you need to hang to dry or put in the dryer. The only thing I didn’t like about it was that the baby is not sitting in enough water to keep them warm. It just seemed to be more work than worth. It would also float up if there’s too much water in the sink. Which I know before they lose their little cords you’re not supposed to submerge but the Stokke paired with the chair allows them to be in more water and keep their belly button dry.

Now that we have two kids, I wanted to get a bigger tub. Since we’ve been so happy with the Stokke tub mentioned above I purchased one that looked just like it but bigger. In the description it says it can even fit a “small” adult!

It’s huge. Doesn’t really fold up slim enough, so storing it in our house is an issue. Also, I can’t let my toddler keep the water running, which he loves to do because the water level can get way too high for him. Definitely not as safe. The plus side, is that I do fit in it and I can actually take a nice bath. Sure it’s a little snug because I’m the opposite of a small adult but I used to love taking baths on the regular. It’s not great for the two kids yet because the sides are rather high and reaching over to make sure my youngest doesn’t slip is too difficult. It’s also really bulky, slightly heavy and hard to drain.

Our last tub purchase is this one:

It’s only 12″ high on the sides and suitable for dogs and children! (hah) It’s the perfect size. It’s antimicrobial and a fantastic tub for the two kids as they grow. It also comes in different sizes so you can figure out which one will best fit in your shower.

Hope this helps someone who is in the same situation as me, I have tried and tested a bunch of tubs. Let me know if you have any other questions or comments! Or if you found another solution! I’m happy to answer and share!
